Spring time is just around the corner! With it comes the warm sunny days and bare feet.  As the rays of light start to shine through your windows, all of a sudden, you start to see the scary sight of… CARPET STAINS! After months of being indoors, it’s time for your home to get a little facelift so you are ready for summer.

Professional carpet and upholstery cleaning should be on the top of every spring cleaning list.  It’s a great way to get rid of all the grime that has accumulated in the carpet fibers and also help extend your carpets life.  Clean carpets don’t just look better, they also help improve the air quality by reducing dust, pet dander and dirt.  Let us do the work for you.   With our ion exchange system, eco-friendly citrus based cleaning products, and trained technicians – we can handle any challenge guaranteed. From pet odors, food and wine stains to grease, ground-in dirt and allergens.

Here are a few tips to help keep your carpet clean:

  1. Vacuum those high traffic areas more frequently.  By getting dirt up quickly, it has less opportunity to be ground into the carpet fiber which breaks down your carpet destroying its structure.  Our Ion Exchange carpet cleaning system, not only releases stuck on dirt and grime, but also detaches it from your carpets fibers.  Therefore, once we have cleaned your carpets, the benefits, don’t end there.  The dirt and grime will continue to come up our of your carpet every time you run your vacuum over it.  Continuing to reduce allergins and extending the life of your carpet.
  2. When you spot, blot it.  And do so quickly! By soaking up the liquid as soon as it’s spilled, you may prevent it from soaking into the fibers.  It is best to blot it and give us a call to remove it. Do NOT use any chemicals, vinegar or water on the spot.  If you must, a small amount of water only, and call us to get the rest out as anything else only sets it in to your carpet more permanently.
  3. Check your carpet warranty. Did you know that many carpet warranties require professional carpet cleaning every 12 to 18 months to stay valid? A great reason to check in with us and get your appointment on the books. If you have kids or pets, a minimum of an annual, if not a bi-annual cleaning is recommended to give your carpet the longest life possible.
  4. It is much cheaper to clean it than to replace it.  If you have a lot of tracking in higher traffic areas, we can help extend the life of your carpet with regular cleaning.  Call us for a free estimate and ask about our maintenance packages.

Book your appointment with us today so we can help you get ready for spring!

You make a great point about checking out your carpet’s warranty. My brother is coming to stay with us in a few months. We’re hoping to have our carpets professionally cleaned so it looks and feels nice.

I read through your blog post here. I was hoping you could help me with something. I was wondering, How can I protect my carpet from getting dirty so quickly? My sister brought her dogs over and they made a mess of the carpets! I think this is something you can answer. 🙂

Thank you for your post. You can have a professional carpet cleaner, clean your carpets and then apply a carpet protectant. This will allow stains to be removed easier in the future, as well as prevent new stains from setting in as quickly.
